About

Lenore Mooring

Photographer behind Lockside Photography

Lenore Mooring is the photographer behind Lockside Photography, a contemporary portrait and fine art photography site shaped by atmosphere, restraint, and cinematic storytelling.

Her work explores the quiet tension between presence, place, and performance. Known for her use of natural light, architectural space, and muted colour palettes, Mooring creates images that feel both elegant and intimate, often placing her subjects in landscapes and interiors that seem to hold a story just out of reach.

Through Lockside Photography, Mooring presents a body of work that moves between editorial portraiture, conceptual fashion, and poetic location-based studies. Rather than presenting her subjects as fixed or fully knowable, she is drawn to moments of transition, figures at thresholds, faces interrupted by reflection, bodies shaped by weather, shadow, or movement.

Background

Raised near the northern coast and later based between London and the Midlands, Mooring developed an early fascination with empty places, abandoned theatres, concrete architecture, windswept fields, late-night streets, and the strange stillness of public spaces after hours.

Today

Lockside Photography offers commissioned portraiture, fashion editorials, artist profiles, and personal fine art projects for clients looking for images with depth, restraint, and a distinctive visual identity.
