Paintings rooted in remembered paths and weathered light.

Nora Lark is an expressionist landscape artist whose work turns toward river paths, meadow light, village edges, moorland skies, coastal weather, and other quiet rural places shaped by memory as much as observation.

Her paintings are built through layered colour, softened structure, and a loose surface that keeps hold of first impressions. Many begin as studies made on walks, then return to the studio to become larger works with more atmosphere and weight.

Original paintings and a considered range of fine art prints are available throughout the year, with selected pieces also offered as framed prints, canvas editions, and cards.

Nora Lark on the coast

Colour arrives long before detail.

Many paintings begin as small notebook studies of weather, value, and atmosphere. The final work keeps that first looseness wherever it can.

Walking the same route changes the painting.

Nora returns to the same paths in different seasons, letting memory and repeated observation soften the boundary between place and feeling.

Prints are selected from paintings that hold their texture well.

Available prints are chosen for their tonal depth, surface richness, and how naturally they sit in quiet interiors.
