New Merch Designs With Strich

Spent the last few evenings drawing new merch designs in marker pens and cheap notebooks, then scanning everything into the computer and cleaning it up in Photoshop without trying to lose the rough edges too much.

Most of the stars, hearts, scratches, and messy lettering were originally scribbled while sitting on the floor during practice breaks, which probably explains why half of them look slightly unhinged.

We have been working with Strich to get everything printed properly and honestly seeing the doodles and photocopy textures turn into actual shirts and tote bags has felt very surreal.

The prints came out ridiculously nice, still messy in the right ways, just without the ink accidentally rubbing off on your hands anymore.

We Made Some New Badges

Spent all evening making badges while watching terrible late-night quiz shows and drinking instant coffee.

Most of them came out wonky but maybe that makes them better? We will have them at the next few shows along with the new tapes. One of the badges just says "sad at parties" because apparently that is our entire personality now.

Tiny Practice Room, Very Loud Amplifiers

Started writing songs for whatever comes after the EP.

Currently practicing in a room that smells faintly of damp cardboard and somebody else's chips. Izzy keeps playing everything twice as fast as intended and somehow it sounds better that way. We have also finally learned how to finish songs instead of just writing intros over and over again.

Thank You For Dancing

Still can't really believe people danced during our set last weekend.

Someone knocked over the fairy lights during the last song and the whole room went dark for a second but everybody kept singing anyway which felt strangely perfect. We are playing more shows soon and trying to record something new before summer arrives and everyone suddenly becomes emotionally stable again.

A Very Small Idea for a Very Loud Song

Wrote a new one that started as a bassline, then somehow turned into a song about trains, bad timing, and being a bit too sentimental.

It only took three cups of tea and one nearly disastrous feedback loop to get the chorus sorted, which feels like a miracle. We are still arguing about whether the bridge should be prettier or more chaotic, but honestly that usually means it is getting close to done.
