Elswyth Bramblefoot

Elswyth Bramblefoot is Pebblemere’s gentle little apothecary, a quiet hedgehog who knows the old names of flowers, roots, and woodland herbs by heart. From her cosy cottage at the edge of the village, she dries lavender by the window, brews comforting teas, and keeps shelves lined with tiny bottles and neatly labelled remedies. Folk often stop by for help with sore paws, winter sniffles, or simply a warm chat beside the kettle. Elswyth speaks softly and takes her time with most things, though she always seems to know exactly what somebody needs before they ask for it. While she prefers peaceful mornings and mossy walks through the meadow, she cares deeply for everybody in Pebblemere, and there is nothing she enjoys more than seeing a neighbour leave her cottage feeling lighter than when they arrived.
