Osric Puddlecombe

Osric Puddlecombe is Pebblemere’s cheerful village sign painter, a mole with paint upon his paws and far more ideas than sense. He spends his days wandering the winding lanes with brushes tucked into his satchel, touching up old shop signs, painting festival banners, and adding little flourishes wherever he thinks the village could use a bit more colour. Most folk agree Pebblemere would look far too plain without him, even if half the signposts point in slightly the wrong direction. There is a wonderfully muddled sort of charm about Osric. He loses his spectacles at least twice a day, forgets where he has left his paint tins, and has been known to paint the wrong name above the wrong doorway entirely. Still, his warm laugh and bright imagination make him impossible not to love, and the village is all the livelier for his little accidents.
